About Ravens Rhythm

We cheer, we dance, we volunteer!

Our story

Established in 2011 by dedicated Carleton staff and alumni member Melany Morrison, Ravens Rhythm initially found its groove as the spirited hypesquad for the Ravens Basketball team. Over the years, the team has cultivated a solid reputation within the community, embodying a commitment to volunteering, cheering, and dancing. The dynamic Ravens Rhythm Cheer and Dance team not only graced basketball and football games but also actively participated in a variety of community events.

Under the transformative leadership of our current Director and Head Coach, Sissi Malula, Ravens Rhythm embraced change in 2023. The team underwent a rebranding initiative, emerging proudly as Pom and Game Day. This shift expanded the program's vibrant presence across a diverse range of sports, including football, basketball, hockey, soccer, and rugby. Beyond the sports arena, Ravens Rhythm remains an active participant in campus life and the community, aligning with our core mission of volunteering.

At the heart of our values is a focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). Representation holds a central place in our values, reflecting our commitment to creating an environment where everyone feels seen and heard.

In 2024, Ravens Rhythm has embarked on a new journey, stepping into the competitive arena. The team made its debut at the Big East Blast on January 27th, competing with flair in both the Pom and Game Day categories. We extend our gratitude to all those who have contributed to Ravens Rhythm's journey thus far, and eagerly anticipate the exciting prospects that lie ahead!
